Last year, we hosted 15 women over a two day, one night retreat. This year, we are doing it again! Women 18 and older, join us for year two of our annual Women's retreat August 22nd-23rd. You can sign up on our website HERE.
Two of our very own reservation specialists, Tiffiny & Tracy, attended our Women's retreat last year and left with raving reviews. In our blog post today, they will answer questions that you might have about attending our 2026 Women's retreat.

Q&As with Tif & Tracy
What will the events of the weekend be? Â
Tiffiny: The weekend will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with getting to know the other women that you will be spending the weekend with. The first day will be rafting on the American River. Then back to camp for dinner and campfire, then bed. The second day will be a canyonnering day wrapping up by 5:00 PM before dinner. This includes two adventures, 4 meals, a campfire, and one night camping. Â
What if I fall out of the boat during rafting?Â
Tiffiny: Don’t worry, everyone wears a life jacket and a helmet, so if you do fall out, you are still safe! Since the river does have rapids, you may fall out of the boat, it doesn’t usually happen, but it could. Safety is our top priority. Our guides are always prepared to give safe instructions to get you back into the boat! Â
Tracy: Falling out of the boat was my biggest fear before my first time white water rafting. While I’m still not excited about the possibility of falling out, I’ve seen many people jump out on purpose and get back in just fine. Getting back in isn’t solely dependent on you or your strength. It’s easier than it looks to pull someone back in. Safety gear is a must here at Rock N Water and part of that is detailed instructions on what to do if you do end up out of the boat, whether that’s accidentally or on purpose!
I don’t like sleeping on the ground, can I sleep in my car? Â
Tiffiny: You can sleep in your car if you wish, some do. However, how many chances do you get to sleep under God’s stars? We here at Rock-N-Water love to be in creation and want to share it with you also. Our camp is unique in the way that almost all of our activities are outside, we do have private flush toilets (we aren’t primitive!) Spending time in God’s creation for extended periods of time can be healing, and eye opening. It can bring you closer to God, to have experiences on a different, deeper level.Â
Camping can also allow you to develop relationships with the other ladies too. Staying here provides lots of time for conversations about daily life as a woman. Creating relationships that can go beyond just the weekend.
Tracy- There are many ways to turn camping into something closer to glamping. Cots and sleeping pads are relatively inexpensive these days and can keep you more comfortable than just being on the ground. Want to see the stars from the comfort of your tent? There are many tents with mesh tops, just leave the rain flap off and see the stars!
What if I am not very adventurous?Â
Tiffiny- No worries at all. While our adventures are physically taxing, our guides are wonderful at helping people through it. While here at Rock-N-Water, we ask that you be willing to adventure outside of your normal comfort zone. Try something new, because you can, and you want to, not because the kids need you to or the husband needs help.  Â
With the experience of our guides, you can go for an adventure without having to mealplan or pack snacks for the kids. You will be able to take in the full beauty of the river without worrying about Little Jimmy taking off his life jacket (or swim trunks!)Â Â Â Â
Tracy- This is a great trip for you! It won’t be you and 20 adventure athletes. The group diversity is one of the aspects of this retreat that is the biggest blessing. Our guides will assess the group and tailor the adventures accordingly. Our goal is for everyone to be safe and relaxed in order to spend more time with the Lord in God’s creation.
What if I AM very adventurous?Â
Tracy: There are many ways to add a little extra adventure to your experience, swimming under the rocks in the river instead of around, intentionally exiting the boat during rafting and more!

Can I come alone, or bring a friend? Â
Tiffiny: Yes to both. Feel free to sign up for just yourself, you will make friends quickly here, we are all in the same boat! Or have a friend sign up with you, and share a tent.   Â
Tracy: YES!
What is canyoneering? Â
Tiffiny: Canyoneering is extreme hiking. Imagine a hike without a trial, into some of the most remote places in the county! It’s a full day of walking, so bring comfortable shoes that are good for walking in water. Sometimes it’s a dirt trail, sometimes it’s a creek, sometimes it’s rock we are scrabbling over, but it always comes with an incredible view! We take lunch with us, and spend the day where most people have never been! There are hidden caves to swim in, water tunnels to swim through and giant rocks to jump off of all under the watchful eye of an experienced guide. Â
Come along with us for two adventures you don’t have to plan. Pack your adventure clothes and tent, but don’t worry about food or dishes. Bring a friend, but leave the responsibilities of work and weekly life behind.  Â
I have strict dietary restrictions. Can those be accommodated?
Tracy: Absolutely! Our kitchen staff is well versed in accommodating the dietary needs of our guests. Just let us know what your needs are and we will work together to address them.
Is this camp geared towards a specific age group?
Tracy: Nope. Last year we had six different generations represented! It was such a blessing as we all have so much we can learn from each other.
