Learning from History

Our staff will immerse themselves in 1854, just after the California Gold Rush, inviting you and your students to join in a journey of discovery.

We aim to engage students through hands-on experiences that illustrate what life was like for gold miners. Our theme emphasizes that God’s value surpasses all material wealth.

During the trip, our staff will discuss the challenges faced by the 49ers, highlighting the idea that God is more precious than gold.

We offer various educational options, including a tour of the James Marshall Gold Discovery State Museum at Sutter’s Mill, to enhance student learning.

We’re here to help customize the living history field trip to meet your school’s needs.
