About Rock-N-Water
Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact campers of all ages with the joy of God’s Living Word. Our desire is that you might come to know the joy of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to pass on God’s love to others with excitement. We focus our programs on biblical principles, and use the help of nature, friendship, and adventurous outdoor challenges to develop eternal transformational change.
Located an hour East of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, our staff travel from across the United States to minister to your students. Cross trained as camp counselors, youth ministers, and high adventure guides, they positively transform the lives of youth and adults alike. Our staff savor the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your students’ lives.
Every Rock-N-Water trip is built around the idea that spending time in the outdoors, through fun and challenging adventures, is a great way to help youth and adults to experience real personal growth in their Christian faith. Each camp includes full action packed days of adventurous outdoor exploration with our summer counselors. And each adventure includes time intentionally set aside in the middle of each day to give you ample opportunity to just stop, and think, and pray. At night we gather together around the campfire for a time of worship and a more indepth biblical devotional.

We all had a great time!
Our camp leader, Shelby, was wonderful! She was a great witness of God’s love to the 5 girls in our group! 4 out of the 5 said they did not believe in God. She just kept loving them and pouring into them! Second to the last night, camp director Aeron joined us at camp fire. He shared with the girls that there is a way they can know if there is a God. He made four points and then shared part of his testimony of how He came to Christ. It was powerful!! The girls haven’t been the same since! One of the girls wants to apply for training at Rock N Water! They’re lives have been changed! Shelby and Aeron went above and beyond to reach these girls! I will never forget 2020 at Rock N Water!
All of the staff are amazing! The way you train and pour into their lives is bearing much fruit!!
I was very impressed how on adventures, you encourage and make it so much fun! Your way of working with the difficult ones was such a blessing to me! Lots of patience, firmness when required, and bringing out the best in each person. The Spirit of God was moving!
The food was great and meal times were still fun inspite of the Covid restrictions. They were not burdensome and the staff had great attitudes!
The Country Cowboy (girls) are so thankful for the hard work and sacrifices you all made to make this funfilled, life changing event happen for us! God bless you!

This trip was so incredible! I learned so much and it was an amazing opportunity for me to step away from life and experience new things without my cell phone being glued to my hand. I was able to grow closer with friends and leaders and able to challenge myself both physically, mentally, and emotionally through our daily activities. Each and everything we did was so fun and entertaining. All the guides and volunteers we met were respectful, fun, and great role models. The food was also delicious.

I’ve been to Rock n Water twice. Once in Eighth Grade with my class and again in high school with my church youth group. While I can say definitively that the class trip was better because we were able to do more, both trips were amazing. We were able to hike, rock climb, go white-water rafting, and take part in team building exercises.

From Jansen pulling a noodle out of his nose on our first trip (a deal sealer for our kids!), to life changing (not a cliche) adventures in God’s creation with professionals, friends & playmates who love Jesus. We also shared grief with you with Jason and Lindsay. A rare mystery to witness the hope of Jesus in incomprehensible tragedy. Not only were the activities super amazing, but just being in God’s awesome beauty was truly breathtaking. Whether it was white water rafting or going on the creek hike, being able to experience the raw beauty of it all felt like such a blessing. Like the rafting. Dislike the bugs. Food was great. Rock climbing was good. I think the info given to my church either was incomplete or not passed on to me. Froze at night because I didn’t know I’d be sleeping outside and brought my thinnest sleeping bag.

I came home completely exhausted and beat up in ways that I haven’t been in quite some time. But I am so thankful for the time I spent there, I was pushed in ways that I haven’t been before and learned that I am capable of things that I never thought of doing before. I loved Joe hosting Amplify Youth. You guys really led us in team building and connecting it back to the bible. I wish there was a little more food provided, especially for dinner. I found myself not having enough meat in my meals because it ran out quickly. Otherwise, I am in love with Rock-n-Water staff! Everyone was down to earth and really open to sharing their life with us, this is great especially for our students who look up to older people.

We went with our youth group two years ago and talked about the camp and our trip for several months afterward. The staff were very friendly and kept us plenty busy with activities. I have recommended the camp to others and would highly recommend others to bring their families or youth group. We pray the Lord delivers rain to the area.
