About Rock-N-Water

Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact campers of all ages with the joy of God’s Living Word. Our desire is that you might come to know the joy of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to pass on God’s love to others with excitement. We focus our programs on biblical principles, and use the help of nature, friendship, and adventurous outdoor challenges to develop eternal transformational change.

Located an hour East of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, our staff travel from across the United States to minister to your students. Cross trained as camp counselors, youth ministers, and high adventure guides, they positively transform the lives of youth and adults alike. Our staff savor the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your students’ lives.

Every Rock-N-Water trip is built around the idea that spending time in the outdoors, through fun and challenging adventures, is a great way to help youth and adults to experience real personal growth in their Christian faith. Each camp includes full action packed days of adventurous outdoor exploration with our summer counselors. And each adventure includes time intentionally set aside in the middle of each day to give you ample opportunity to just stop, and think, and pray. At night we gather together around the campfire for a time of worship and a more indepth biblical devotional.

When I went to rock n water it was a great experience I love being out in nature and I got to experience Good in a way I never had before. I had fun doing all the activities. One of the best experiences I could have had.

  3. Dawn Romani

Our youth had an awesome experience. The guides were great and helped relate the activities to God. The campground provides a perfect environment for getting away, having group activities and quiet times, and yummy food!.

  4. Gabriel O’Connell

My son always has a blast with you guys. thank you for providing a safe and enriching environment.

I apologize for how long it has taken me to provide feedback. I was pleasantly surprised (amazed also works)how fun and how much of a blessing it was to spend a week at Rock-N-Water last summer. One thing I had not expected was the devoted time our guide, Reed, spent with us. He was engaged with us from the moment we were introduced to him from activities to fireside spiritual discussions. Way cool. The activities were outstanding! Bouldering was my favorite and white water rafting also was very fun. We also had team building activities that were challenging and educational (and fun!). I’d recommend Rock-N-Water to anyone and plan to bring my family summer after next (we alternate each year mission trips and family vacation so this summer is our missions trip). Also, the price was very reasonable, good food, great fellowship. Heartily encourage you to investigate what footwear to bring as I brought very poor tennis shoes’ soles and ended up slip sliding a lot more than if I would have had good footwear. May God continue to bless Rock-N-Water!

Great, I like the affordability, when getting together a youth group experience.
The mountain top experience was great. My daughter came home with a better understanding of Christ and the Church of all of us.

    Father of a youth.

  7. Chris Hawes

Staff was excellent. Our counselor was full of life and encouragement and her campfire facilitation was deep and insightful. Guides on the water were very safety conscious with a nice dose of adventurous spirit! I would highly recommend this to any group. I went several years ago but it still stands out as a great highlight for me and my group!

  8. Taylor Stephens

it was amazing. The river is right by the camp ground. The staff is so wonderful. The kiddos had thicker skin by the time that they got back home. It was a growth experience and one that I wouldn’t change.

  9. Scotland MacGregor

    Amazing, love it!!

  10. Ethan Fry

I liked it a lot, but I had just finished another trip the week before and I (Ethan) was exhausted. The leaders were great, and it was a lot of fun.

  11. Charlotte Conroy

I felt like this was a good experience to meet new people and learn more about trusting in god and your team mates.

  12. S. Andrew Stewart

I really enjoyed my week at Rock n Water. Volleyball at camp and rock climbing were both highlights for me. The camp was well organized and well run.

  13. Tristan Henry

I had a great time and I liked everything we did… rock climbing, rafting, canyoneering, and the free time!i also would like to thank everyone who helped out and made us food! I had a blast and would love to do it again!

  14. Mitch Hiebenthal

We’ve been 3-4 times with you guys and as far as I am concerned your camping experience is one of – if not the best – that I’ve taken high school kids to. It’s not that I “would” recommend you, I DO recommend you.

  15. Sean Carey

Best outdoor camp ever! First of all staff was very capable and caring. The setting was spectacular, the most beautiful surroundings you can imagine. The ladybug canyoneering hike was the best of my life…unbelievable. Food was good and plenty of it. Getting back to the camp staff, they really had our best interest at heart and allowed us to experience the outdoors safely while still pushing our limits. The kids were challenged to accomplish more than they thought they could a d you could see their confidence growing. I would go again in a heartbeat.

  16. Breanna Canter

I had a wonderful experience exploring the outdoors with my youth group. It was amazing.
