About Rock-N-Water
Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact campers of all ages with the joy of God’s Living Word. Our desire is that you might come to know the joy of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to pass on God’s love to others with excitement. We focus our programs on biblical principles, and use the help of nature, friendship, and adventurous outdoor challenges to develop eternal transformational change.
Located an hour East of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, our staff travel from across the United States to minister to your students. Cross trained as camp counselors, youth ministers, and high adventure guides, they positively transform the lives of youth and adults alike. Our staff savor the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your students’ lives.
Every Rock-N-Water trip is built around the idea that spending time in the outdoors, through fun and challenging adventures, is a great way to help youth and adults to experience real personal growth in their Christian faith. Each camp includes full action packed days of adventurous outdoor exploration with our summer counselors. And each adventure includes time intentionally set aside in the middle of each day to give you ample opportunity to just stop, and think, and pray. At night we gather together around the campfire for a time of worship and a more indepth biblical devotional.

awesome!
We love this trip!

Great team building experiences and the guides were very helpful! The meals were also prepared with quality, fresh ingredients! However, the first day of climbing boulders in the river seemed a bit too dangerous for some parents and kids. I felt we weren’t informed adequately about the dangers of this activity and that students and parents weren’t given an opportunity to opt out. Other than that, this was a great experience!
Colby Peters –
Loved it. All of it.
Jeremy Fife –
I had a great time. I do alot of camping and this was by far one of the best experiences. The staff was well trained and ready to help. We did a 5 day trip and it flew by.

I attended this camp as a chaperone for my daughter’s 8th grade outdoor ed experience. What a fabulous week it was! The staff is excellent and has a great deal of experience in outdoor adventures. Our activities really encouraged the kids to get out of their comfort zone, while doing so with excellent safety measures in place. I was really impressed with the tie-in to the kids’ relationship to Jesus during all of the activities. Excellent and unlike any other experience my daughter has had! And as a side note, the food was really good. Not your typical camp menu! Would highly recommend this camp to schools, families, and other individuals that want to enjoy God’s nature on a whole new level!

It was great. The adventures that I experienced were filled with landscapes beyond compare. The food was just as great, and cooking your own food makes it even better.

I think Rock n Water had great friendly guides who were experienced and happy to help. The whole camp was centered on God and it had great learning environments. The food was tasty and deserts were something always to look forward to.
Canyoneering and rock climbing was fun, and one of the guides who helped me in rock climbing was so nice and friendly. I think her name was Meghan?
The only downside for me was probably how cold it was when we went swimming in the river. It was freezing. Lol.
Overall, it was awesome, but I just became so tired, and by the end of the trip I had gotten sick. (I now have a cold)
This outdoor ed was one I will always remember.

AMAZING, I really had so much fun because we got to do everything that they said we would do and OMG THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I wanted to stay there for another week. Somethimes we got to go out on night hikes and just be ourself’s and not be cooped up in a classroom all day. Thank you Rockne water for such a great time.

I had a lot of fun doing the activities, hanging out with the leaders, and around the campsite!

The entire camp was exciting. The food, games, and the area.

I thought the week was awesome! Staff was great, the camp site is awesome, and the experiences that the kids get to have are super awesome for them. The first day was the only day where I wish there was a bit more structured into the day; it was still really great, but a bit more structured into it would have made it more memorable. Overall, you guys are awesome, and I was impressed with what you have going on at Rock-N-Water!

Fun trip.
Ashley Glock –
It was amazing and really fun. It was awesome when we went rock climbing and lots of hiking and swimming. I also loved the tree swing as well.

I felt like there should have been more communication between the teachers/chaperones and the counselors. That would decrease some of the confusion in the students.
