I was able to attend Rock-N-Water for my 8th grade trip this year. There are were many positives, that follow some negatives. The food was so delicious, and our crew leader Zach was so nice. But I was disappointed that we couldn’t go white water rafting. I do understand that because of weather conditions we were not able to do so, but that was the main thing I was looking forward to. The newer bathrooms were dirty and there were no mirrors, for people who have contacts, like myself and my friend, that can be a struggle. There were so many mosquitoes, though you cannot do anything about this, it was a major set back for me and still after three weeks following the trip, I still have the bites. Even though I used bug spray. The tents were crowded as well, and I personally had to share a tent with four other girls. It was very uncomfortable. We didn’t get to do cliff jumping either. I enjoyed the trip greatly but the weather that came along with this trip was a setback. Thank you.

I would recommend Rock-N-Water. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was great. The dining experience was better than I expected. Unfortunately, we did not get to raft, and our 8th graders who were there for their 8th grade trip, spent the day with 4th graders at the mines and at the state park. Even though I recognize that the river rafting was out of the staff’s control, I would have appreciated another rock climbing outing or a raincheck to come back at a later date just to do the white water rafting. I’m sure that most of those “day rain checks” would probably not have been used, but it would have been a good gesture. Again, these would have been rainchecks for the rafting trip only with no commitment to meals or lodging, especially since it was a financial hardship for some of our students to pay for this whitewater adventure.

Though we had a great experience, and we all loved having Zacariah as our guide, the rustic nature of the camping environment was difficult for us since we came from a long way away.

Absolutely amazing. I loved the method of worship and how rather than a huge sermon meeting there were small group chats that were much more personal and building. I grew spiritually grew more at this camp more than any other for that reason. God really used this camp to guide me on a certain part of my spiritual life I was trying to figure out. The counselors were great. Especially Josh. Thanks for your awesome camp!

  5. Madison Banks

Experience was incredible. Josh and Natasha were so loving and helpful, and truly made an impact on the group. The asked us those tough questions, and encouraged us to look for the answer, knowing all of the answers wouldn’t be the same. They supported us, guided us, and helped us face our fears. The food was great, and the activities were so perfect.

Statement of Belief

We believe we should, "Love the Lord (our) God with all (our) heart, and with all (our) soul, and with all (our) mind," and "The entire law is summed up in one command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37, Galatians 5:14. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal and only Son of God. That He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, paying the penalty for all our sins, and then rose from the grave. It is through faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have received the free gift of salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace, not works, “that no one should boast”. We believe the Bible is accurate, reliable, and the Word of God. (Luke 5:20-24; John 1:1-18; John 3:15-21; John 14:1-15; Ephesians 2; 1 John)

Who we are

Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principals, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
