About Rock-N-Water
Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact campers of all ages with the joy of God’s Living Word. Our desire is that you might come to know the joy of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to pass on God’s love to others with excitement. We focus our programs on biblical principles, and use the help of nature, friendship, and adventurous outdoor challenges to develop eternal transformational change.
Located an hour East of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, our staff travel from across the United States to minister to your students. Cross trained as camp counselors, youth ministers, and high adventure guides, they positively transform the lives of youth and adults alike. Our staff savor the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your students’ lives.
Every Rock-N-Water trip is built around the idea that spending time in the outdoors, through fun and challenging adventures, is a great way to help youth and adults to experience real personal growth in their Christian faith. Each camp includes full action packed days of adventurous outdoor exploration with our summer counselors. And each adventure includes time intentionally set aside in the middle of each day to give you ample opportunity to just stop, and think, and pray. At night we gather together around the campfire for a time of worship and a more indepth biblical devotional.

Year after year we are blown away by the quality of your staff’s leadership and care for our team. We have no negative feedback and highly recommend you guys to other youth ministries we interact with. The adventures are excellent, the food is excellent, and our students love coming back year after year. Thank you again for your hospitality!

Fun and educational as a Christian. The staff were great and friendly, the rafting and canyoniering was fun. The amount of free time was fair some of the games played during team building took way too long. for example the jump rope game with the pattern took 1 hour for our group to complete because some of us weren’t good at jump rope. Overall it was a good experience and I really think it was worth going.

My experience was great! I highly appreciate Rock n Water throwing this trip together for my church last minute, as the houseboats in Shasta were unavailable due to the fires. The food and service was great as usual and as a graduating senior who is unlikely to come back, I felt very satisfied with the Rock n Water I remembered from the years I’d attended previous. However, during rafting I had an unpleasant experience with one guide as my boat guide. He was rude, hard to understand and got frustrated with the students very easily, making it difficult to enjoy even though our group (with our main youth group leader in the raft no less) were working hard to please. Other than that, the camp vibes and spiritual connections with the Lord were amazing as usual and I’m thankful for the three cumulative years that I have been gifted to attend. Stay awesome!

My experience with God at Rock n’ Water helped lead me into a closer relationship with Him. I would highly recommend anyone who might be interested in outdoor exploration and/or Christianity itself to book a trip with some friends.

I had a wonderful experience. The guides were excellent. Zechariah and Shelby were patient, resourceful, and fun. They are good role models for our middle schoolers.

Rock-n-Water is an amazing experience. The camp location is conveniently located adjacent to the river for some local river rafting, swimming or boating. The camp staff is top notch and the food is very nutritious and delicious. The staff plans the majority of the entire event making it an easy outing for groups to arrive with little planning. The variety of rafting/sporting trips is excellent and the planning is very organized. Everything about this experience is really great. I have come as a chaperone three times and had wonderful experiences.

Eva Grimm –
Loved it! I had so much fun doing everything despite not really being into outdoor activities. The guides were great and incredibly helpful. They made the experience for sure.

I have always loved coming to the camp and the guides are always willing to help out. Staying at the Cove was a good experience to be with our group but the isolation from the main camp was more difficult since we couldn’t just go and run to camp if we forgot something or wanted to go to the campsite and relax in quiet time. Also, I understand that there are options for people who are vegetarian, but food options should not be withheld for students who don’t eat the food that is offered.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rock N Water. We’ve got three years in a row and plan to go a fourth! Such an amazing place!
