Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact campers of all ages with the joy of God’s Living Word. Our desire is that you might come to know the joy of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to pass on God’s love to others with excitement. We focus our programs on biblical principles, and use the help of nature, friendship, and adventurous outdoor challenges to develop eternal transformational change.
Located an hour East of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, our staff travel from across the United States to minister to your students. Cross trained as camp counselors, youth ministers, and high adventure guides, they positively transform the lives of youth and adults alike. Our staff savor the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your students’ lives.
Every Rock-N-Water trip is built around the idea that spending time in the outdoors, through fun and challenging adventures, is a great way to help youth and adults to experience real personal growth in their Christian faith. Each camp includes full action packed days of adventurous outdoor exploration with our summer counselors. And each adventure includes time intentionally set aside in the middle of each day to give you ample opportunity to just stop, and think, and pray. At night we gather together around the campfire for a time of worship and a more indepth biblical devotional.

I’ve been coming to Rock N Water for 16 years and continue to be impressed by what the camp offers. The guides are compassionate, hard working, and capable people. They are very relational and able to instill a sense of safety and comfort. Adventures are well planned, unique, and fun. The variety of adventures is such a blessing as each church can pick a package based on the ability of the campers. Food is great (not an easy thing for a camp to do in my opinion). I am also incredibly impressed by how easy the registration process is. Camp registration has often been challenging when booking trips elsewhere, but this is not so at RNW. Payment makes sense, changes to an invoice are emailed promptly, and information is communicated effectively. Furthermore, Rock N Water has demonstrated a willingness to improve and develop. It is clear that their systems and protocols are improving every year. Most encouraging is that they are constantly improving the systems and training in regards to camper safety. I also greatly appreciate RNW’s honest willingness to hear camper feedback. In many respects, my relationship with RNW feels like a partnership in which my voice matters. As such, they are better serving the needs of my students and working towards growing them in their walk with Christ.
Most valuable to me though, is that RNW shares (and in fact, has expanded) my own ministry philosophy. RNW is unapologetic in helping students understand that God has communicated through nature as well as Scripture. Furthermore, RNW teaches faith lessons concretely. As students face fears and overcome challenges, they learn to see themselves honestly and recognize their tremendous dependence upon their church community and their Heavenly Father. This is tremendously valuable and is the only camp that I have been to that teaches these powerful lessons in this manner.
Much love to Rock N Water and I am exceedingly grateful for all that they do.

Fantastic. The guides are super chill, even with the amount of work we make them do. Food is pretty good for camp food, and they cater to dietary restrictions very well. The canyons are beautiful and the river is amazing. Rock-N-Water is a great organizarion that helps it’s campers see God in the beauty of the nature around the campsite. 10/10 will go back every summer.

Although it’s been a bit since my trip, my gosh, almost ten years now, my experience at Rock-N-water was incredible. I would highly recommend a visit with a youth group to your camp.

I have now been to Rock-N-Water 5 times and each time is simply unforgettable! The food is delicious, the camp is beautiful, but most importantly, the guides are professional and highly trained such that I feel very safe on the river and in the canyons. I think everyone could use to get thrown around on the river every now and again. I’ll be back this year (and hopefully several years to come!)

This is my third year going to Rock and Water and I have never had a bad experience. The camp is well maintained and guides are always kind and knowledgeable. This year we had Avery and Alex. They are great guides who supplied many laughs. I will be back.
If I have to make one suggestion, it would be more dessert:)

Having visited Rock N Water over the last 15 years, it is clear that Rock N Water is only getting better. Your camp is a blessing to my students and to me as a pastor. Thank you.
