This was the first time our church has been to Rock N Water. As the new youth Pastor, I had been praying a lot on what to plan for our big summer event. Thankfully, I had signed up at a conference to receive calls from the camp and a representative called me and told me all about Rock N Water. I was intrigued and scheduled a visit with my Pastor to check out the camp.
The camp director graciously took some time out of his day to show us around the camp and even treated us to a DELICIOUS lunch after our tour. I was already impressed with the camp and was sold when my Pastor and I were able to talk to the director and hear his heart and the purpose of why they do what they do at Rock N Water.
I just got back a few days ago from a 3-day camping trip at Rock N Water with my teens and I can safely say that it has truly been one of the best camping experiences in not only my life, but all my teens as well.
Prior to the trip, Rock N Water representatives were incredible at communication and were on top of the ball in informing me of important details as I prepared for my first ever teen summer camp. They were incredibly helpful and patient with me as I bombarded them with tons of questions each time I called.
Each group that visits Rock N Water is also assigned a camp guide that stays with the group for the entirety of the trip. Our guide (Ana) was nothing short of incredible. She was always willing to be a help if someone needed something and she literally became part of our youth group during the trip. Our teens loved having her around!
We chose to do the canyoneering and white water rafting activities during our trip and our group LOVED it. The camp guides were fun, personal, and professional throughout both trips. Our group was able to enjoy some crazy adventures and we loved having the guides around. They were a ton of fun and we always felt safe with them around.
I’ve already said so much but I have to mention one more thing… Rock N Water’s food is the best camp food that I have ever had! Meals are different each time and are served buffet style in the outdoor “dining hall”. The food is fresh and absolutely incredible! Also, there always seemed to be enough food for everyone to get seconds. Talk about quality and quantity! My teens all looked forward to the meals during the camping retreat.
I really can’t say enough good things about Rock N Water Christian Camp. It far exceeded my expectations. I will always recommend this trip to anyone interested in a good, legit camping experience. Looking forward to next year!
