Who Is Rock-N-Water?
Founded in 1989, Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God’s Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God’s love with excitement. We focus our field trips on biblical principles, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
Our staff are highly committed Christians with excellent outdoor leadership skills carrying out their own individual ministries as adventure guides and living history guides. The Christian staff feel personally responsibility for each individual they lead. Encouraging safety, spiritual growth, learning and adventurous fun are our staff’s passion. They look forward to the opportunity to minister in your students lives. Read more about Rock-N-Water’s History.
Experiencing God through adventures in His creation
We are an indoor society. Kids walk from the house to the car (often without ever going outside), to drive to school, where most of their time is spent inside. Kids and Adults spend their free time inside watching TV, playing video games and even doing homework instead of outside enjoying the sunset.
Of course there are the exceptions, and we hope that you and your school group are one of them. However, an indoor life is the reality of far too many students (and adults). We want to help change that. Our hope is to help show kids and their parents the beauty of the outdoors. Maybe we’ll explore new fun and exciting things that might help nudge them towards spending a little bit more time outside when they return home.
Each of our field trip experiences not only spends a significant amount of time outside in the nature that God created, but also provides intentional quite time devotionals. Quite times are designed help students experience God through the places we have visited. We want them to take some time sitting, looking, and listening to the beauty around them. Removing the distractions of our modern world, so that we might focus more on our savior Jesus Christ.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
