Imagine a weekend away from deadlines, event planning and the daily pressures of life. Imagine being able to rest, connect with God and get to know other youth workers who are walking the same road that you are. Imagine exploring and problem solving through small group discussion with Rock-N-Water Staff and other experienced youth workers. We’ll explore ideas and practical ways of creating a safe place for your personal life and youth ministry to thrive.
We’ll Spend two nights camping on the pristine banks of the American River in Lotus, California at Rock-N-Water Christian Camp. Arrive Thursday night to get your campsite set up and get to know other youth workers. Spend time in worship, prayer and reflection over a warm campfire.
In the morning after a hearty breakfast, spend time in devotions and get some quiet time to be alone with God. After lunch we’ll jump on the river for an exciting 10 mile Class III white water rafting trip. Upon returning to camp, you’ll enjoy a fabulous dinner followed by a time of worship and devotion as we gather around the campfire.
You will want to bring your camera for this adventurous 2nd day! After breakfast, we take a leisurely hike through the local mountains to a gorgeous canyon where we typically take campers for our outdoor rock climbing day. We will spend more time together relaxing, brainstorming, and for adventurous participants, some exploring or outdoor rock climbing. We’ll have lunch alongside the river before saying farewell to our new friends.
Why should you do it?
This is not a joke. There is no catch. First, this spiritual retreat is a gift to Christian pastors and workers who consistently give of themselves for the sake of Christ in the lives of youth. This is about renewing and restoring you, not programming. You are precious to us. We hope that Rock-N-Water Christian Camps might be used to refresh you and strengthen your ability to continue to serve in Youth Ministry.
Secondly, this trip is an investment. We hope that your time with us will inspire you to take your students into the outdoors more often – and yes, maybe even to Rock-N-Water Christian Camp.

We believe we should, "Love the Lord (our) God with all (our) heart, and with all (our) soul, and with all (our) mind," and "The entire law is summed up in one command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37, Galatians 5:14. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal and only Son of God. That He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, paying the penalty for all our sins, and then rose from the grave. It is through faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have received the free gift of salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace, not works, “that no one should boast”. We believe the Bible is accurate, reliable, and the Word of God. (Luke 5:20-24; John 1:1-18; John 3:15-21; John 14:1-15; Ephesians 2; 1 John)
Who we are
Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principals, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
