Voyagers Two Week Summer Camp

A high intensity two week summer camp session for teens going into 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the Fall, as well as those that just graduated from High School.

Adventure awaits! Join us for two weeks of high adventure as we meet new friends, reach new heights, and discover more about ourselves and our loving savior Jesus Christ.

What is included?

Get ready for 13 night adventure through 12 full days of outdoor adventure. Including Backpacking, Canyoneering, Outdoor Rock Climbing, Class III River Rafting, Inflatable Whitewater Kayaking. Paddle Boarding on Lake Tahoe, and even an overnight Class IV Whitewater Rafting experience unlike any other.

Week One

We start off the first week with a four day Backpacking trip through the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We’ll explore beautiful river canyons, climb granite rock walls, rappel down a 90 foot vertical cliff, and circle around the campfire for songs and games under the starlit night. We’ll finish off the first week with a paddleboarding adventure on Lake Tahoe, and a restful beach day for those needing a breather.

Week Two

Adventures continue into week two as we crash through Class III whitewater on the South Fork of the American River. We’ll follow this up with a full day of rock climbing and rappelling at a second outdoor climbing location. Then we will set off on an overnight two day Class IV rafting adventure on the Middle Fork of the American River. Follow that up with a day of canyoneering, as we explore a local river canyon for rock jumps, underwater caves, and sights that few others ever see. Then we finish off the two weeks with a final day of Class III whitewater, this time in two person inflatable kayaks.

Why send my kid to camp?

Growth! Camp provides an opportunity for individuals young and old to get away from the constant distractions of everyday life. By breaking away from the routines, places, and things that we find familiar, we are better situated to discover new things about ourselves, our friends, and about what it means to be a Christian. Note: You don’t need to be a Christian to attend camp at Rock-N-Water.

Why an adventure camp?

Adventures in the outdoors provide a natural platform for helping to further shift campers out of their comfort zones, further away from the places and things that they are familiar with. Outdoor adventures provide countless opportunities for growth through the challenging and often temporarily uncomfortable situations we experience when we leave the protection of our everyday lives. Experiences like clinging to the side of a cliff, rushing uncontrollably into crashing white water rapids, and being amazed by discovering unexpected sights around every corner all serve to help shift campers out of their comfort zones, and into their growth zones – where the journey towards lasting personal growth and development really begins.

Who is Rock-N-Water?

Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God’s Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God’s love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principles, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character. We share about our love for Jesus Christ through stories about the love that Jesus has for all humans, and by demonstrating that unconditional love to all campers, regardless of their spiritual beliefs.
