By |2020-06-16T14:06:36-07:00June 26th, 2020|Shared Knowledge|

God created us and saved us so we could be in a relationship with Him. You probably know from experience that communication is an important part of every relationship. Communication is also important for our relationship with God.  But have you ever thought about how we communicate with God?  Through prayer! Prayer is one of [...]

The Importance of a Quiet Time

By |2020-06-08T19:21:54-07:00June 12th, 2020|Shared Knowledge|

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite parts of Rock-N-Water: The Quiet Time!  If you have ever been to Rock-N-Water, then you are probably familiar with what we call a “quiet time.” Maybe you’ve thought that this time is simply a way for us guides to have a break from all of our duties.  (And I [...]

Climbing the Mountains of Life

By |2020-04-10T15:05:46-07:00May 1st, 2020|Shared Knowledge|

Have you ever climbed a mountain before? I love climbing mountains because whenever I am surrounded by huge mountains that make me feel tiny I can’t help but be filled with wonder and awe of our amazing God! Climbing mountains isn’t easy. But I can guarantee you that when you climb mountains the climb will [...]

Trusting God During the Coronavirus

By |2020-04-01T17:11:36-07:00April 3rd, 2020|Shared Knowledge|

A lot of change has been taking place in the world these days and I honestly don’t know where to start.  How can one thing change the world so drastically?  It happened so fast.  I remember hearing about it but I didn’t think it was going to turn out to be that big of a [...]

Rhythm

By |2019-09-20T09:09:30-07:00January 1st, 2019|Stories from Camp|

The water was stunning once I had a chance to look at it. It flowed peacefully, meandering, creating its own world. Not a droplet strayed from the path, joining together to create a gorgeous river. Slush, slush, slush. The liquid shimmered, casting the sun’s heavenly rays far and for all to see. Though clear, it [...]

Agape Love

By |2019-09-20T08:53:36-07:00February 15th, 2018|Stories from Camp|

It’s February, the month of love.  But what is love?  We use the same word to describe how we feel about pizza, dogs, family members, our sports teams, and God.  The Bible uses different words that all get translated to “love.”  The one we are commanded to do is agape.  Agape love is selfless, sacrificial, [...]

Statement of Belief

We believe we should, "Love the Lord (our) God with all (our) heart, and with all (our) soul, and with all (our) mind," and "The entire law is summed up in one command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37, Galatians 5:14. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal and only Son of God. That He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, paying the penalty for all our sins, and then rose from the grave. It is through faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have received the free gift of salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace, not works, “that no one should boast”. We believe the Bible is accurate, reliable, and the Word of God. (Luke 5:20-24; John 1:1-18; John 3:15-21; John 14:1-15; Ephesians 2; 1 John)

Who we are

Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principals, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
