Minor, Miners, Forty-Niners

By |2019-09-20T09:33:08-07:00April 12th, 2017|Stories from Camp|

A burly, bearded mountain man in a plaid shirt and rolled up trousers is the picture that most people think the typical early Californian gold miner was like. However, historically speaking, the average age of a forty-niner was twenty-two. Many miners actually were minors! They came from the East with their older brothers, cousins, schoolmates, [...]

History Affects the Present

By |2018-02-26T12:33:29-08:00March 7th, 2016|Stories from Camp|

Jasmine’s Experience: When I first heard of Rock-N-Water, I was immediately intrigued with the idea of teaching young students the history of California’s gold rush.  I was excited to work beside fellow Christians and build a strong fellowship with them.  Over the course of 2 years, I found that teaching fourth graders and their parents [...]

Layers of Faith

By |2019-09-20T10:20:52-07:00March 21st, 2013|Stories from Camp|

Candle Making and Layers of Faith The smell of smoke warms the damp, chilly spring morning, lending an air of excitement to the group of fourth graders and their parents ((who, having just finished their morning cups of cowboy coffee, are ready to greet each activity with enthusiasm almost equal to that of their kids)). [...]

Prayer requests for May 7

By |2019-09-20T09:19:29-07:00May 9th, 2012|Current Happenings|

Thank you for keeping the campers, staff, and the ministry of Rock-N-Water Christian Camps in your prayers. A little something for everyone to reflect on this week:    "He alone is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved."  Psalm 62:6 We have a packed week [...]

Statement of Belief

We believe we should, "Love the Lord (our) God with all (our) heart, and with all (our) soul, and with all (our) mind," and "The entire law is summed up in one command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37, Galatians 5:14. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal and only Son of God. That He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, paying the penalty for all our sins, and then rose from the grave. It is through faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have received the free gift of salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace, not works, “that no one should boast”. We believe the Bible is accurate, reliable, and the Word of God. (Luke 5:20-24; John 1:1-18; John 3:15-21; John 14:1-15; Ephesians 2; 1 John)

Who we are

Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principals, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
