No. While we strongly believe that the overall quality of your trip will be much higher if you stay at our camp, you can easily stay at a local hotel or campground and do day trip adventures with us.

Commonly used local accommodations: https://www.rocknwater.com/resources/local-accommodations/

When not spending the night with us we recommend a few things to help ensure the highest quality of your trip:

  1. Get a good night’s sleep: you will be playing hard tomorrow in the great outdoors.
  2. Eat a solid breakfast: again, you will be very active with us on your adventure, so please eat a solid, well rounded breakfast that will give your body the energy and nutrients it needs.
  3. If you are camping locally after your adventure, and planning on cooking your own dinner, we strongly recommend you consider adding dinner with us onto your trip. While it might cost more than making dinner for yourself, it’s difficult to oversell just how tired and exhausted you will be after your adventure. For the few groups that choose to camp elsewhere, they consistently tell us that making and cleaning up their own dinner, at the end of a physically exertive day, was the most difficult part of their trip.

And of course, please consider staying with us instead. It’s just an extra $22/person to arrive the night before and includes campfire program and breakfast. Staying the night after your last adventure is just $22/person and includes dinner, dessert, and campfire program.
