Yes, there will always be risks involved with the activities we do at camp.
Our staff receive extensive training, we continually review the abilities and competencies of our staff, and we have comprehensive safety procedures in place to decrease the likelihood of serious injury. But injuries, even serious injuries, can still occur.
How safe is camp?
Minor bumps, bruises, and scrapes are fairly common at camp. Sprains and strains, while less common, do occur each summer. While more serious injuries (including broken bones) are not common, these injuries have and will occur.
We want you to have a great experience at camp, and any injury (even minor injuries) will reduce the quality of your experience. Therefore, we review every injury beyond a minor scrape or bruise (and even many of those) to improve our systems and procedures, and to reduce the likelihood of future injuries.
