We believe we should, "Love the Lord (our) God with all (our) heart, and with all (our) soul, and with all (our) mind," and "The entire law is summed up in one command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37, Galatians 5:14. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal and only Son of God. That He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, paying the penalty for all our sins, and then rose from the grave. It is through faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have received the free gift of salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace, not works, “that no one should boast”. We believe the Bible is accurate, reliable, and the Word of God. (Luke 5:20-24; John 1:1-18; John 3:15-21; John 14:1-15; Ephesians 2; 1 John)
Booking & Reservation Questions
We've tried to spell out who we are and why we think spending time in the outdoors is so valuable. But if you've still got questions, please don't hesitate to contact us we'd love to help.
Who we are
Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principals, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
Go backpacking and white water rafting with your church youth group! We will take care of all the logistics and expertise to lead you and your youth on a backpacking trip complete with rock climbing, rappelling, white water rafting, and of course backpacking.
Backpacking trips are limited to groups of 12-20 people, check out our summer adventure camps if you have more or less people.
Take off with your youth group on a backpacking trip into the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Each of our backpacking trips spend 4 days hiking and exploring God’s amazing creation as we hike through beautiful river canyons, jump off of rocks into deep pools of water blow, challenge ourselves as we rock climb, and overcome our fears as we rappel down a 90 foot cliff. Then we top it all off a day of white water rafting!
While out in the backcountry, we’ll explore God’s playground, and challenge ourselves to grow in our Christian faith through quiet times, campfire devotionals, outdoor rock climbing climbing, waterslides, and rappelling off of a 90ft. cliff. We believe this trip is simply… Unbeatable!
We take care of the details
Backpacking with a youth group in God’s creation is an amazing ministry opportunity, but it can also be a logistical headache. At Rock-N-Water we will take care of all those planning and implementation details so that you can focus on the things that matter most, developing positive relationships with your students, and helping direct them to grow in their Christian journey.
We provide all the backpacking related gear that your students might not have (including backpacking backpacks1, tents, cooking equipment, rock climbing gear…), so that preparing for a backpacking trip is as simple as preparing to take your kids to any normal summer camp.
As with all of our trips, you can customize our backpacking camps to best fit the needs of your group and the goals you hope to accomplish during your adventure. To that end, you can modify your backpacking summer camp to end with an exciting day of Class III California River Rafting or a more advanced day of Class IV California Rafting. Our camp program can also have you ending your trip with a day of Class III Inflatable Kayak Trips if your group is up for the challenge..
Campfire programing at night and morning devotionals can be lead by our camp counselors, or by your staff, or a combination of the two with not additional cost. Out goal is to provide you with the best possible adventures programming. Note: We limit backpacking trips to just one group per week, so dates disappear quickly.
More Information about our Backpacking Trips
Again, please contact us if you have any questions, or are not finding exactly what you are looking for.
Regarding backpacking backpacks – If you or a student happens to own their own backpacking backpack, then yes, we’d encourage them to bring it. Most likely your personal backpack will fit you better than the very nice, but not personally tailored, backpacks that we have. ↩
