Rock-N-Water's Business / Ministry Philosophy

At Rock-N-Water our passion is to infect young people with the joy of God's Living Word, so that they might come to know Jesus and pass on God's love with excitement.

Our staff come with the purpose of providing superb outdoor youth ministry adventures where they can build friendships with youth and help infect them with the love of Jesus Christ. While working towards this goal they often have a great time, grow closer to God, develop life time friendships, grow muscles, and discover tans. But to them these other things are just a byproduct of their passion to be used by God in the lives of others. If you also have a passion to be used by God, along with a passion for adventures in the outdoors, then Rock-N-Water may be a good place for you.

Rock-N-Water is a business and you are a potential employee. Rock-N-Water is also a ministry in which you can be a co-worker. Consider this example: The Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, is said to have supported his ministry by making tents. He probably made a fine tent, yet Paul's heart was not in the manufacturing of his tents---he did not boast in his tents---he did not claim his tents could give eternal life---he did not baptize in the name of his tents---his tents never washed away sins. Paul was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. He was wholeheartedly committed. Everywhere he went he told people of the risen Christ and the gift of eternal life through Jesus' blood. And, on the side, he made a fine tent.

We too are servants, and Jesus is the master we serve. Though we work hard to provide high quality adventures for youth, our real passion is to see their hearts hungering for God. Like Paul's tent making, Rock-N-Water's Job is to lead rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, team building, and living history trips. To prepare meals, build camp fires, top off boats, carry equipment, clean toilets & We want to do a good job! We want you to do a good job! And yet our Ministry, our purpose, is far bigger. We focus our program on biblical principles, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character. Our adventures are not our mission, but rather tools we pray God will use to help accomplish His work in youth.
