Basic Itinerary:
(The chronological order of this may vary)
Day 1: Arrive Monday between 10 and 10:30 am for our Team Challenge day. Work both mind and body as you stretch to complete together a series of low element problem solving games. (Sunday evening arrivals available for an additional charge -- see "options" below.)
Day 2: Off to our first river canyon where perfect granite waits to be climbed. Spend the day top-roping, rappelling, boldering and hiking this amazing valley. Swim and explore pools and small water caves. A challenge at all levels and a total blast!!
Day 3: Put-in from our camp's beach to experience "The Gorge" run on The South Fork of the American River! A 10 mile stretch of river with great class III rapids.
Day 4: Experience the beauty of the Rubicon River in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is the place to take in a breath of God's handiwork and to be surrounded by wet, adventurous canyoneering.
Day 5: One of the most popular white water runs in California -- the "Upper" run of The South Fork of the American River. Our last day together is a splash through class III rapids. "Meat Grinder", "Triple Threat", and "Trouble Maker" to name a few. We will take out our boats at camp for your easy departure by 5 pm.

Quality relationship building time makes this trip our favorite. We'll spend four days back packing, climbing and day hiking the back country of the Sierras. Then we'll celebrate the week with a final day of class III white water rafting on the South Fork of the American River. We'll explore God's playground, and challenge ourselves by climbing rock faces and rappelling a 90ft. cliff. We provide all of the meals, camping, and offer a theme-oriented program with campfire talks and devotions at no extra cost. We believe this trip is simply... Unbeatable! Requires a minimum of twelve people, maximum of twenty.
Price: $303
(12-20 people. Includes camping Sunday through Thursday nights and Monday breakfast through Friday lunch. Options)
The Backpacker Paluza Chuck
For those backpackers wanting a little more splash (Class IV)

Guide School
No experience required for this two week course (10 days of instruction) designed to provide students with the foundational skills and information necessary to become a class III white water guide and top-rope climbing instructor. Since Rock-N-Water's beginning in 1989 we have enjoyed training and hiring dozens of guides each year. We are thrilled to invest our knowledge of guiding and outdoor youth ministry into students enthusiastic about this ministry and industry. The course will focus on basic skills, safety, injury/incident prevention, communication, the big picture, environmental concerns, equipment rigging/care and encouraging the pursuit of further experience after the course. Graduates of this Guide School are eligible to apply for summer employment at Rock-N-Water.
Price: $750 - Partial scholarships available for potential staff
