More about our summer programs:

Why Adventures In Nature?

At Rock-N-Water, youth groups spend every day and night in God's enticing playground. We embrace the outdoors as a critically important tool for today's youth ministry. The adventurous challenges and tranquil beauty God gave us in nature allow for a depth of ministry we know no other way of achieving. Ridiculously fun excursions like white water rafting, outdoor rock climbing, backpacking, canyoneering and team building make superb platforms for challenging, educating and uniting your students. Christian-led adventures in creation make the opportunities for fun, deeper relationships and spiritual growth almost unavoidable.

Today's students are growing up indoors. Never before has humanity been so protected and distracted from the natural world, its wonders, challenges, adventures and intrigues. Never before have young people been so “connected” to each other, yet so lonely. Our students have new, serious needs that, for the most part, are going unaddressed. Originally, we were designed to live in nature, learning about God through what He has made, learning about ourselves and others by having to work together. But our latest generations are left standing with unnatural gaps. Mentally, physically, socially and spiritually - nature was intended to be a part of our development. As the awareness of these needs increases, youth pastors, teachers, camp directors and parents will demand ways of implementing God's creation into the lives of those they are responsible for. Rock-N-Water is committed to being a relevant resource for leaders in their efforts to meet such needs.

Who Do We Serve?

Although Rock-N-Water's outdoor adventure program was designed for junior high and senior high youth ministry, we love guiding anyone who wants a fun adventure in nature. Public schools, private schools, charter schools, YMCAs and families can also enjoy Rock-N-Water's services and staff as one of the best outfitters for youth in the country with a secular program. Church groups of all ages, Christian schools and home schools enjoy the option of having us provide Bible-based programs at no charge. No matter who you are, we are waiting to help you customize an amazing adventure in nature.

What Dates Are Available?

Most of our guests come mid-week during the summer, but we have recently opened up summer weekends as well. Our Spring week-day and week-end trips are available as early as March. Our Fall is concluded by the end of October but, for the hardy, some adventures, like rafting, are available year round. You can check our calender for the space available on any date by calling or emailing us.

How Do I Customize and Book a Trip?

With all the control we give you in designing a retreat or summer camp, please do not feel intimidated. We are anxiously waiting to help you build the perfect trip. If you want to get started on your own, decide how many and which adventures are best for your group and select weeks you think might work well.

You can add extra meals ($8/person/meal) and nights of camping ($9/person/night) as needed to merge your adventures with your travel time arriving or returning home. If you are rafting with us before or after summer, expect an $8 fee that helps us with typical expenditures, like wet suits, we often need to provide. T-shirts for the whole group are available for $8/person. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL FEES, TAXES OR HIDDEN COSTS. You also have the option of leading campfire and other teaching opportunities yourself, combining your teaching efforts with those of our own staff, who are trained not only in outdoor adventure guiding but also in student ministry leadership, or just asking us to handle it all for you – at no additional charge.

When you call us, we will ask for an estimate of total people and then typically fit you into a range of 7. (For example: 10 to 16.) After booking your trip, you will have two weeks to post mark a 10% non-refundable deposit (or alter/cancel your trip) and usually 2 months before another non-refundable deposit of 15% is due. The remainder is due two Fridays before your arrival.
