The Adventures
These one day adventures are great by themselves, or you can customize your group's experience by combining them into a multi day retreat or a week long summer camp.
Whitewater Rafting
The Splash-About
(One Day Raft $87 per person, includes lunch) Spend the day with us (or
two) and splash through Class III Rapids on a 10 mile river ride! Learn
more about working together, and about simply having fun in what God has
created. Travel through a beautiful valley, water fighting, swimming, and
paddling together. If you want to keep it dry, don't bring it on the river.
(The South Fork of the American River has two, ten mile sections perfect
for one or two days of wet, adventurous fun. The actual river time on each
section typically ranges from 4 to 5 hours)

The Ruck-A-Chuck
(1 Day Class IV Raft $119 per person, includes lunch) One day of Class
IV rafting down a 16 mile section of the Middle Fork of the American River.
This full day has some extreme whitewater along with plenty of opportunity
for group bonding and experiencing God in this isolated, deep river canyon.
Senior high participants need recent class III experience. (Minimum of 10
people)
![]()
Yakity-Yak
(One Day fun yack $97 per person, includes lunch) One or two days of Class
III white water in inflatable kayaks. Meet the waves face to face as you
enter rapids at water level! Work in pairs to navigate your yak for a challenging,
fun, and growing experience. (A minimum of six, maximum of 16 people.)
![]()
Rock Climbing
The Rock Solid
(One Day Rock $63 per person, includes lunch) Prepare yourself for one
day of outdoor Top-Rope Rock Climbing (on real rocks), rappelling, and bouldering
in a beautiful river canyon. Learn more about trusting others, pushing yourself
into growth, and looking to God in everything we do. Finish the day with
more climbing or with wet opportunities of adventure in this amazing canyon.
We promise an adventure at any skill level. (A Minimum of six people.)

Canyoneering
The Explore-A-Canyon (Class 1B to 2C Canyoneering)
(One Day Hike, $60 per person, includes lunch)

peace and beauty of God's creation. Students love to hike and swim through
these deep canyons to find great adventures and isolated splendor. (A minimum

Team Building
The Team Challenge
(One day Course, $44 per person, includes lunch)
Stretch your youth group to trust, encourage, and support each other as
they attempt our games, challenges, and initiatives. We use the wet, American
River to customize this day for your group with unity and fun in mind. In
addition to our high-energy activities, we will also take advantage of Rock-N-Water’s
beautiful out door setting, challenging your group with times of stillness
designed for an intimate encounter with God in His creation. (Minimum of

Backpacking
The Backpacker Paluza (5 day trip)
(5 Day Backpacking extravaganza. $323 per person includes Monday breakfast
through Friday lunch and camping Sunday through Thursday nights) Amazing
relationship building time while the group is secluded in God's creation
makes this trip our favorite. We'll spend four days back packing, canyoneering,
and rock climbing in the back country of the Sierras. Then we'll celebrate
on the fifth day with class III rafting on the South Fork of the American
River (or bump it up to the Class IV Ruck-A-Chuck for senior high groups
for just $355). While out in the backcountry, we'll explore God's playground,
and challenge ourselves through quiet times, campfires, climbing, waterslides,
and rappelling off a 90ft. cliff. We believe this trip is simply ... Unbeatable!
(A minimum of twelve people, maximum of twenty.)

Options
One day adventures can stand alone, have camping and additional meals added, or be combined into 2 to 5 day summer camps to better fit the goals and time frame of your youth group. Our staff is super excited to provide you with Bible-based campfire or devotional programming at no charge, or to assist you in any way we can with your own campfire program ideas.
This year's theme is "One" - Our culture seems to have so many options. So many possible answers/directions to chose in life... The truth is disguised with a myriad of possibilities. In the midst of all the chaos, there is something surprisingly refreshing about the number 1. Among all the hopes we can look to, there is one hope to live by. Of all the loves, one is true. Of all the assets we have, there is one strength. Of all the audiences watching, there is one we are focused on. Of all who care (or don't care) for you there is one who truly loves you. Of all the theories about your existence, there is one Creator. Of all the hats you wear, you have one inescapable identity (a child of God). There is one salvation....... The dark side of this number is what most of us are conditioned to "look out for", but that is the opposite 1.
Ask about T-shirts ($8) before you come and expect to add $8 to any Spring rafting trips for wetsuits and spring conditions. Prices are subject to change.
Service Projects are available for groups that are interested. Prices vary based on the nature of the project, so give us a call to talk about a half day, whole day, or half and half day (half day service project plus a half day of adventure).

How to Book A Trip
Because Rock-N-Water is so customizable, it is probably best if you give us a call as we will want to nail down the following details:
Prospective dates.
The Adventures you want.
The number of people you expect to bring
Money
For trips booked before January, a 10% deposit is due to be postmarked within two weeks of booking the trip with an additional 15% due in late January.
For trips booked in January or later, a 25% deposit is due postmarked within two weeks of booking the trip.
Final numbers and final payment are due two Fridays before your trip starts. Exceptions for payment will only be made for those that have been loyal with final numbers and payment deadlines in the past.
How to Promote Your Trip
There is a two week (or more if you need it) delay between when you book a trip and when your deposit is due. We suggest you use this time to get your group excited and committed financially to the endeavor. Consider the following:
Show your youth the section(s) of our promo DVD (tell us if you have not received one) you think would entice them and speak about the goals you have for them as individuals and for the group as a whole. Make it an adventure of specific, Divine intention. A pilgrimage. Here is a partial list of possibilities:
Individually connecting with God in His creation.
Learning how to have fun in creation, without electronic devices.
Learning how to be more adventurous in their lives with their Christian faith.
Building new and closer friendships.
Bringing their friends to Christ.
Building unity and developing teamwork.
Equipping a leadership team for your youth group.
A really fun, challenging, and exciting time together.
Pin up the poster we send when you book the trip, along with a sign up sheet that is limited to the number of students reserved with us, but include an additional waiting list so everyone interested can sign.
Collect a non-refundable deposit from each student so they (and their parents) become committed to the trip along with you.
Check out our resources page for more materials that might help you promote your trip.
As the trip gets closer, we recommend you show the DVD again and collect the rest of trip cost from each person before calling in your final number.
