Couples Retreat

Inviting all youth pastors (and the like) to bring their spouse on an overnight whitewater escape!

This time, it’s a retreat designed specifically for you. We recognize the sometimes suffocating challenge of having both a healthy marriage and a prosperous youth ministry. We want this getaway to give your most important earthly relationship a breath of fresh air.

Meet us at Rock-N-Water’s camp on the river! After eating lunch with other youth ministry couples, we'll go whitewater rafting down a 10 mile stretch of the South Fork of the American River. Upon returning to camp, you’ll find an elegant outdoor dinner followed by a campfire time of worship and nuptial encouragement. After a romantic night in your sleeping bags, we’ll have a hot breakfast waiting for when you’re ready!

All this for $25 per person?! This is not a joke. There is no catch. First, this trip is a gift for those whose marriages are seasonally challenged by Christian camps in hopes that Rock-N-Water might be used to strengthen your critically important relationship. Secondly, this trip is an investment. We hope that your time with us will inspire you to take your students into creation more – maybe even to Rock-N-Water.

Guest Speaker - Pastor Ray Owens

Ray’s life and ministry are driven by a calling to spread a passion for the glory of God in all things, for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. This calling began at the age of 20 after attending a Rock n Water retreat as a volunteer youth leader from Community Bible Church in San Diego. Shortly afterwards Ray recognized his need to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and began seminary training through Liberty University, receiving a BS in Arts of Religion. After graduating college Ray was hired by Community Bible Church in 2002 as the Middle School and High School Pastor.

In 2003 at the age of 23 Ray was married to Sarah Owens in Riverside, CA. They are the parents of two children, Isabella and Levi Owens. Currently Pastor Ray lives in San Marcos, CA. Over the last 13 years since the call of God was place on his life Ray has had the opportunity through his local church to be a Young Adult, Small Group, Venue Pastor, and Church Planter. Lord willing Ray and Sarah are looking to plant and pastor a startup church in San Marcos, CA and join staff with E3 Partners (Global Church Planting Mission Group).
